Brief Interventions in Chronic MigrainePeople with chronic migraine headaches face many challenges, including high levels of daily pain, disturbances to everyday activities and sleep, and problems with mood such as depression or anxiety. This trial is being completed to study whether changing an individual's behaviors may have an impact as a treatment for migraine headaches. Eligible participants will be randomized to one of the four arms. This study will be conducted remotely without in-person contact. Study Hypothesis: * There is a main effect of attending either the Empowered Relief and Health Education intervention on reductions in migraine-related disability 1 month after completing either intervention * There is a main effect of Empowered Relief and Health Education interventions on reducing pain-related catastrophizing and migraine symptom severity 1 month after completing either intervention (secondary hypothesis) * The expected reductions in migraine-related disability, pain catastrophizing, and migraine symptom severity will be maintained at secondary time points (2 months, 3 months, and 6 months after completing either intervention) (secondary hypothesis) Migraine Non applicable Traitement symptomatique United States À vérifier

Development of Pain Management JITAI Content in Multiple Sclerosis and Spinal Cord InjuryJust-In-Time Adaptive Interventions (JITAIs) offer a framework for delivering personalized behavioral support using time-varying data to optimize the timing and type of intervention content. This project will develop the foundational components of a JITAI tailored to adults with chronic pain and either MS or SCI by drawing on symptom self-management content from existing programs (PainGuide, MyMSToolkit, and MySCIToolkit). Intervention content and delivery parameters will be refined through stakeholder engagement via structured interviews to ensure relevance, acceptability, and feasibility. Discontinue antiseizure medicationsThe main purpose of this study is to understand the effects of continuing versus discontinuing antiseizure medications after a period of seizure-freedom. Physician guidelines endorse that after a period of seizure-freedom, the risk of another seizure may be low enough to allow patients to consider coming off antiseizure medication to see if they still need it. However, evidence is limited regarding how much continuing antiseizure medication still reduces seizures versus increases side effects after a patient has been treated for a while. Dynamic Standing DeskThis research is studying the use of a new type of standing desk in a small number of people to learn about the user experience for people with Parkinson's disease. 12 4-hour sessions will be performed to test the primary hypothesis that dynamic standing improves gait function compared to static standing and control sitting. This study has 2 phases. Phase 1 will be an open-label study and Phase 2 will be an in-lab randomized controlled trial pilot study. This is phase 1 of the study. ENHANCE — Evaluating Novel Healthcare Approaches to Nurturing and Caring for Hospitalized EldersThe goal of this clinical trial is to compare the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) with a family-augmented version of HELP (FAM-HELP), that includes family members and care partners, for the prevention of delirium in older patients during hospital admission. The main objectives of the trial are the following: 1. To compare the effectiveness of FAM-HELP and HELP in reducing both the incidence of delirium and its severity. 2. To compare the effectiveness of FAM-HELP and HELP in improving patient- and family-reported outcomes. 3. HD-tDCS Active ProtocolThis study investigates whether unilateral and bilateral non-invasive brain stimulation, given for 20 minutes/once per day for twenty days (M-F) can reduce migraine pain. Fourty patients will receive treatment (20 unilateral treatment, and 20 bilateral treatment), while twenty will receive a "sham" procedure. Another 20 Episodic Migraine patients will be recruited for the observational aim of the study which does not include brain stimulation. SHARE(D) Stage II: Alzheimer's Risk Disclosure Protocol PilotingThe goal of this study is to test efficacy and safety of person-centered, culturally-informed protocols for disclosure of different combinations of Alzheimer's dementia risk factors. Building on the results from a federally-funded assessment of preferences and needs of racially diverse participants and their respective friends/family members, in regard to Dementia - Alzheimer's Type (DAT), we have produced protocols for communication of DAT risk, with attention to specific adaptations in style or content based on individual factors and preferences. These protocols allow for communication of risk based on clinical history and diagnosis, structural neuroimaging, apolipoprotein-E status, and amyloid and tau burden on positron emission tomography. In particular, protocols specify (a) effective methods of communicating risk conferred by each data source, (b) information designed for patients versus informants, (c) psychoeducation needs, and (d) resource/support needs. We will recruit a randomly-selected subset of 10 dyads (including 5 participants who are Non-Hispanic African-American, 5 participants who are Non-Hispanic White) from the Stage I sample to whom we will develop and implement personalized DAT risk disclosure protocols. We will provide preliminary information on the effectiveness of these protocols in terms of patient/co-participant comprehension and recall of feedback provided, and initial changes in mood or behavior immediately following and shortly after risk disclosure sessions.
