| BumetanideThis study aims to investigate bumetanide in patients with biologically confirmed Alzheimer's disease (AD). Bumetanide is a potent diuretic administered orally and is FDA approved for the treatment of edema and hypertension. Repurposing bumetanide as a medication for AD has been proposed based on data that demonstrated its ability to "flip" the APOE genotype-dependent transcriptomic signatures in AD mouse and cell culture models. Critically, this discovery was subsequently explored in Electronic Health Record cohorts, which revealed that among individuals over the age of 65, bumetanide exposure was significantly associated with a lower prevalence of AD in three independent datasets. Primary Objective: To evaluate the safety and tolerability of bumetanide when administered to participants with biomarker-confirmed Alzheimer's disease. Secondary Objective: To evaluate the clinical and biomarker effects of bumetanide in participants with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia due to Alzheimer's disease. | Alzheimer | Phase 2 | À vérifier | United States | À vérifier |
| Improving Blood Pressure Control in Stroke Patients by Increasing Access to a Home Blood Pressure MonitorThe goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether providing teaching with a low-cost device can help to improve blood pressure, health outcomes, patient self-efficacy without exacerbating inequity between advantaged and disadvantaged patients. The main question\[s\] it aims to answer are: 1. Does providing a free home blood pressure cuff improve control of hypertension? 2. Does providing a free home blood pressure cuff have a greater impact on control of hypertension in disadvantaged populations? 3. Does improved control of home blood pressure decrease adverse patient outcomes? Participants will be asked to * Take their blood pressure at home and records the results * Participate in follow-up phone calls from investigators at at 3 and 6 months Researchers will compare patients provided with home blood pressure monitors to those who are provided with routine education | Hypertension | NA | À vérifier | United States | À vérifier |
| PAANS — Pharmacology of Aminophylline for Acute Kidney Injury in NeonatesAcute kidney injury (AKI) in critically ill neonates is common and associated with significant morbidity and mortality. No targeted therapeutic treatment strategies have been established for AKI in neonates. Within a clinical pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic conceptual framework, this project will examine the medication aminophylline as a potential treatment approach for AKI. | SEP | À vérifier | À vérifier | United States | À vérifier |
| Vagus nerve stimulationVagus nerve stimulation is thought to reduce sympathetic nerve outflow and so can improve sympathetic hyperactivity in fibromyalgia patients. We aimed in the current study, to evaluate the effect of the cervical transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation in comparison to conventional medical treatment in Egyptian fibromyalgia patients. | Myopathies, SEP | Non applicable | À vérifier | China | À vérifier |
| Vibrotactile StimulationThe purpose of this study is to perform a first in man study with VCR stimulation of the belly and back for patients with chronic pain conditions including pelvic pain, functional abdominal pain, or low back pain. This study will also examine VCR stimulation of the temporal region for patients with migraine with or without aura. Additional goals of the study will be to determine the safety, tolerability, and acceptability of VCR stimulation for the treatment of these pain conditions. | Migraine | Non applicable | Traitement symptomatique | United States | À vérifier |
